The turbie twist doesn’t stay on my head as well as I’d like it to. It feels loose most of the time. It also makes me feel dizzy while wearing it. I have very long hair and I will be looking for another product. It also is not very absorbent either.

I would rather use a regular towel

I would rather use my regular towels. This towel is super thin and gets and stays wet for a while. I dislike that. It takes forever for my hair to dry and my hair is not even that long. My hair goes a little past my shoulders. Although, I do have very thick hair. Perhaps, the designer of this product did not design this product for people with hair types similar to my own. I appreciate the design. I believe that in time this could be an exceptional product that I would be more than happy to pay for. One of my favorite things to do is to put my hair up in a towel and go to sleep. Perhaps, the designers will make a new thick towel. Maybe they will even add fun colors (a nice pink, red or blue???) I would like to have a snap rather than a button. The button can break in the dryer. Which ruins the entire product. If you have thin, shorter hair this product is for you. Enjoy and happy shopping.

this product is cheezy and a waste of time and money !! im a stylist and i think you a better off with a regular towel you can twist it to hold hair in place and it doesnt cost as much besides its to thin to dry you hair with so i hope you dont have thick hair because it would never work ! this is a useless product

Turbie Twist was no better than a regular towel

I got the Turbie Twist as a gift. I was pregnant with my first baby at the time, and the giver figured i wouldn’t have much time to dry my hair with a new baby. She was absolutely right about that! I was hoping the Turbie Twist would save me some time in the morning. I used it for a month or so, but I quickly realized it wasn’t really that effective. I don’t think it got my hair any dryer than a regular towel. As for the ease-of-use, again I would say it wasn’t that much better than the towel I previously used. It is lighter, so it doesn’t weigh down your head as much. The fastener fell off of mine after about a month, though, and I had to try to sew it back together! So the quality was pretty poor overall. I just didn’t see a good reason to use the Turbie Twist over a regular towel, which is more absorbent, always available, and never needs any repairs. Maybe if this product was better made I would give it a second chance, but personally I would just save your money!

Most of these hair towels are way too small. That isn’t the fault of the seller, as they show the size of the item, what they don’t show is how difficult it is to get all of your hair into the towel if it’s longer than say a bob, or perhaps a lob. The texture was also kind of rough. Maybe it absorbs a lot of water, but it made my teeth hurt just touching it so I never got that far. If your hair is past your shoulders, these hair towels aren’t easy enough to use to actually be useful. You definitely will need to search for extra long towels, or maybe get a measuring tape and flip your hair over and really get a visual of how much length you need to prevent having to fold up your hair with your hands before draping the little towel over it and trying to secure it before it all comes undone. If you want something useful but don’t want to spend much money, get a microfiber towel beanie, as these actually can hold up a bunch of hair and can’t come undone.

I have been blessed with an abundant crown of hair and this towel did not perform better than the other cotton towels that I have used. It does not absorb as good because it is not cotton but when I hang it to dry, it dries fast because it is made of polyester and microfiber. I only like it that it is not as heavy as my thick cotton towels (together with the amount of hair that I have makes it a little too heavy).

I wish it was a bit longer
This Crown Affair Hair Towel is very large, light, looks like a hotel quality towel. I have long wavy hair and it’s little short for my hair, but still good to use: dries my hair faster and doesn’t dry up or brake the strands, but after you wash the towel, it is not as white and not as pretty anymore. It will still hold the hair. Another thing, I with the strap in the back was tighter or smaller, to hold the hair from falling.
More effective alternatives on the market
This was disappointing because I found it ineffective. The towel wasn’t very absorbent so my hair was far more damp vs. using Volo or Turbie Twist. It also did not decrease frizz the way the other 2 options do. When I returned this product, one of the women in Sephora also said it didn’t work for her either. I recommend purchasing the Volo brand instead – it’s an excellent product.

This hair towel feels and is so cheap and thin. A $10 hair towel from target performs way better than this. Mold grew on it in less than a month as well. I have never experienced this with other hair towels brands

Very disappointed considering the reviews
For the £ this isn’t good. Fabric like a microfibre duster and not exactly plush either. My advice would be to buy an ultra plush Egyptian cotton hand towel and use that instead. This does not leave hair softer in any way and I think it’s a joke for the money.

My hair is past my waist and so one size does not fit all…that said, I do believe it is microfiber and for those with shorter hair this will work. The color you get is random. I got blue, so if you care about the color then you will not know what you will get. I gave it three stars only because it is not one size fits all…otherwise a good product, imo.

Thin and cheap towel does not work
This towel does not dry hair. At least, any more than a regular towel. It is extremely thin material. It was soaked by the time I left the bathroom. Save time and money and let your hair drip dry. When I took it off my head after a long time, my hair felt just as wet as when I put it on. If anything, the towel PREVENTED my hair from drying.

I opened the packaging and it was just a ratty little rectangular towel. Not a turban, no button at the back or elastic or shaping. The towel also seemed pretty thin and already had threads coming off of it. The packaging clearly describes instructions for how to use the turban-style towel with elastic and a button so I don’t know what the deal is!

First of all this will be the last time I buy something that is highly recommended by a Youtuber! They say that the companies don’t pay or give them free stuff but I call BS. The towel isn’t as absorbant, no matter how tight you secure it my hair comes out at the base of my neck or around my forehead. Maybe I have too much hair?? I don’t know. It may work for short thin hair. For the cost I really expected it to work pretty well.

I wanted to love this so badly! The material is microfiber not towel material which I think is better for your hair health, however the yellow button was not sewn well and fell off in the dryer so I’ll have to sew it back. This shouldn’t be an issue on a brand new item.

Not as effective at drying as other Aquis models (I didn’t use additives or fabric softener; just a little splash of Tide for the initial wash). Had to return. Bought for my fiance as she mentioned having a hair drying towel in the past and she liked it. Thought I’d surprise her. Well, she was surprised, that I got her an expensive looking hand towel. That’s all this is. It may dry hair better and faster than your standard towel, but it doesn’t do anything to wrap your hair or anything. If you want a nice towel for maybe shorter hair, this would probably fit the bill.
